  • Thanks to a series of property tax rate cuts by the Terrell ISD School Board, with passage of bond proposition our tax rate would remain 18¢ lower than 6 years ago.

  • Terrell ISD has a long tradition of being fiscally responsible. For two decades, the district has received an A rating from the Texas Education Agency for financial accountability. This is the highest rating possible.

  • Recent cost saving measures by the Terrell ISD Administration have saved taxpayers just under $10 million.

  • Homeowners 65 and older will see no increase in their property tax rate due to the senior citizen homestead exemption.

Property tax rate impact with passage of Terrell ISD bond proposition:
No more than half a penny – that’s $7.50 per year for the average home.

New property tax rate will remain lower than 2016 rate.
